Bike Rental Options

Important Note: If renting from a shop or hotel, you may be able to request a handlebar phone mount, which will make this much easier and safer to follow.

  • Rent a Boulder B-cycle eBike from the station outside the Limelight (see station map here)

  • Rent kids bikes or a variety of adult bikes from University Bicycles here (in downtown Boulder, 0.8 miles or a 6-min bike ride from the starting point)

Self-Guided Mystery & History

CU & Downtown Overview Map

This route starts from the CU Hill area, across from the Limelight and Moxy Hotels, on Broadway. The entire figure eight loop is approximately 7 miles, riding through part of campus, the beautiful Boulder Creek path and to historic landmarks in downtown.

Below is an OVERVIEW MAP of the walk. However, navigation is best if you use the section maps below for each leg of your ride.

Once you are ready to start, click on the section map for each leg (scroll down) and activate audio navigation, ideally with your phone mounted to the handlebars so you can easily hear the audio instructions and glance down occasionally to check you are on track. Otherwise, a chest pocket with the volume all the way up works fairly well.

PLEASE LOCK BIKES SECURELY ANYTIME YOU LEAVE THE BIKE AND DON'T LEAVE YOUR PHONE ON YOUR HANDLEBARS
